Words aren’t enough to thank and appreciate all those who made the parish sponsored walk a huge success. Besides those who took part in the walk, many parishioners and well-wishers came forward to contribute generously towards our noble cause. Some of our walkers/parishioners reached out
to their friends and colleagues to raise funds. It was good news to know that some of them raised more than £100 pounds each for the walk. It is like the parable of the Talents in the Bible (Mathew 25), where one who was given five talents made another five and one who got two talents made two more. Special thanks to them. I sincerely appreciate your hard work, commitment and love for your parish church.  (£3230.00). Once again congratulations and thanks to all of our parishioners and well-wishers.

PARISH SPONSORED WALK: Today (Sunday 3rd August) is St Peter’s Sponsored Walk starting at St Peter’s and then moving on to St Charles’, St
Mirin’s Cathedral, St Fergus, St Mary’s and back to St Peter’s. Please keep the following in mind for your kind attention: anyone participating should
come to the Church Hall for 12.45pm, as we will leave promptly at 1.00. As informed earlier if anyone decides to return to the church before the
end, then transport will be available. Children may participate if accompanied by an adult. There will be Stewards on the walk to ensure things proceed
as smoothly as possible. Envelopes will be available at the end of the walk, with details of when the money should be returned. It would be extremely helpful if money could be handed in by 17th August, as we will present the money the next weekend at Mass to Father Thomas, to help with necessary repairs to be undertaken in the Church and Church House. There will be a basket at the back of the church for donations, for anyone who wishes to make a donation instead of sponsoring someone. Please join us at the end of the walk for cake and catch-up in the Church Hall. Thank you so much to everyone involved in this venture by walking, being a sponsor or making a donation. Your help is greatly appreciated. Happy Walking! Hopefully the weather will be kind to us.
