Helping Out in Our Parish
Dear Friends in Christ,
Volunteers are the foundation of parish church’s ministries. Without them in place, the church isn’t able to fulfil its essential ministries and services. Whether a parish is small or big the needs of the parish are many and, therefore, there is always an urgent need of volunteers to assist in existing activities or to help in the formation of new ones. In Jesus’ words, “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” Often, there are a lot of activities that the church needs to accomplish but finds it difficult to do so because of a shortage of help.
Behind every volunteer is a felt need in the church. We look forward to your assistance in greeting team, children’s liturgy, choir, hospital visitation, coffee hour, prayer meetings, homeless outreach, fund raising, social events, missionary support, weekly meetings, etc. Your wish to help is a sign of honouring God. The parish needs you.
What we are today is because of the helping hand extended by many volunteers. We are truly grateful to them for their bountiful assistance in various services and activities of the parish.
In order to facilitate your willingness to volunteer in any activities of the parish you can register your interest online by registering your details here, being sure to complete the questions on volunteering and skills. You can also complete a paper form available from the sacristy and place it in the volunteering box in the sacristy. Any help you give, no matter how little, will be most welcome.
With grateful thanks and blessings Father Thomas and the Pastoral Council.
